BENGALURU: Online truck aggregator Blackbuck has appointed Arvind Singhal as its chief operating officer. Prior to joining Blackbuck, he was COO at Bluestone and was the chief executive officer at cab aggregator TaxiForSure which was bought out by Ola.

ET was the first to report that Singhal had stepped down as COO of Bluestone in March.

The Sands Capital backed logistics transaction platform is in line to make key hires across data analytics and management roles after it closed its Series C round of $70 million in March.

"We are extremely pleased to have Arvind on board with us. We are confident that his addition will bring much more momentum to our journey in redefining the freight ecosystem," said Rajesh Yabaji, CEO of Blackbuck on the appointment.

An alumnus of IIT Bombay, Singhal has been associated with McDonald's, Reliance Communications and Marico in various capacities in his previous roles.
