BENGALURU: Google vice-president for South East Asia and India Rajan Anandan has joined the board of cloud-based omni-channel retail solutions provider Capillary Technologies. Anandan is one of the early backers and advisors at Capillary, founded in 2008.

Headed by CEO Aneesh Reddy, Capillary has raised $82.1million in debt and equity so far, including a series-C investment from private equity major Warburg Pincus in 2015.

The company has also been on an acquisition spree and had bought Sellerworx, a company which makes seller support solutions, earlier this year. Capillary's clients include retail chains and brands like Unilever, Walmart, LandMark Group and Puma among others.

"Capillary has scaled up to serve over 20,000 stores across Asia, processes about 10% of organised retail in India about 3-4% of this is in Asia. I am excited to mentor and share my learning with Aneesh and the team, help them scale the business to help enterprise retailers and marquee brands with digital transformation," Anandan said.
