TiE to get tech mentoring from PayPal

CHENNAI: Entrepreneurs under the wings of the Chennai chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) will now get tech mentoring from PayPal, an arrangement whose success could push TiE to look at similar tie-ups in other sectors.

PayPal, an online payments platform owned by eBay, will launch an incubation centre in Chennai as part of the tie-up, which it sees as part of its corporate social responsibility.

So, a startup getting mentored in business by TiE will also get mentored by PayPal in technology.
