Indo-German support for social enterprises
Indian Angel Network, the country’s first and largest angel investor network, has teamed up with Germany’s Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and government-owned Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), to launch a social enterprises incubator.

The incubator, which will focus on ventures that cater to India’s poor, will look to incubate about 100 early-stage ventures. IAN, which has a 300-strong membership base, will leverage the same to mentor the startups selected for the programme.

"IAN’s intention is to create a significant difference in creating social impact by helping and guiding passionate entrepreneurs scale up their ventures so that the good work done in pockets is extended over a larger population and geography," said Mohit Goyal, co-founder, IAN.
