India-UAE startup corridor: Over 1,500 founders turn to R Madhavan-led The Gamechangers Middle East
With strong participation from Indian entrepreneurs, the UAE's startup investment platform highlights the growing shift towards cross-border capital, mentorship, and market expansion, led by Co-Creator and Mentor R Madhavan.

According to a statement, the strong participation from Indian entrepreneurs reflects a broader shift in the startup landscape, where founders are actively exploring cross-border opportunities, investor networks, and new markets to scale their businesses. Industry experts believe that the India–UAE economic partnership, favourable business environment, growing venture capital activity, and deepening trade relations are making the Middle East an increasingly attractive destination for the next generation of high-growth startups.
More than just a television series, The Gamechangers Middle East has been conceptualised by Orbit Events in collaboration with Optimystix Entertainment as a first-of-its-kind startup investment and ecosystem-building platform. Designed to bridge the gap between visionary entrepreneurs and the region's thriving business community, the initiative brings together founders, investors, mentors, industry leaders and strategic partners under one platform. Selected entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch their ventures before a panel of investors while gaining access to expert mentorship, valuable business exposure, strategic networking opportunities and potential investment, while also connecting with one of the world's fastest-growing innovation ecosystems.
Leading the initiative as co-creator, host, mentor and strategic partner, actor, entrepreneur, and Padma Shri awardee R. Madhavan believes entrepreneurship deserves the same mainstream visibility that entertainment has long enjoyed.
"I have always believed that entrepreneurs are among the greatest storytellers and nation-builders. Behind every successful startup is someone who chose to solve a real problem despite uncertainty and failure. Today, Indian founders are thinking globally from day one, and the UAE has emerged as an important destination for those looking to build international businesses. The Gamechangers Middle East is about giving these founders access—not just to investment, but to mentorship, strategic relationships and the confidence to think bigger," said Madhavan in a statement.
"What we are witnessing is far bigger than the response to a television format. It reflects a growing entrepreneurial movement where founders are looking for ecosystems that combine capital, credibility, mentorship and market access. The India–UAE startup relationship is evolving rapidly, and platforms like The Gamechangers Middle East can play an important role in strengthening that bridge," said Vipul D. Shah, Producer & Director, The Gamechangers Middle East in a statement.
As the platform enters its next stage, shortlisted startups will participate in investment rounds before a panel of investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders, with opportunities to secure funding, strategic partnerships, mentorship and regional visibility
"We wanted to create a platform where entrepreneurship becomes mainstream and business builders receive the visibility they deserve. Our vision is to build an intellectual property that contributes meaningfully to startup ecosystems while creating a globally scalable entertainment franchise originating from the Middle East," said Rajesh Bahl, Co-Promoter & Group CEO, Optimystix Entertainment, in a statement.
Pragna Vaya, Managing Director, Orbit Events, added that the diversity and quality of founders coming together on one platform shows how the UAE continues to attract entrepreneurs, investors and innovation from around the world. “We believe this initiative will further strengthen collaboration between the Middle East and high-growth startup ecosystems such as India," he said in a statement.
