<b>Text: PTI</b><br><br>India and France began the 10-day naval exercise 'Varuna' on April 23 that saw 12 Rafale fighter jets in action off the Goa coast along with a host of naval assets of both countries.<br><br>During the course, both navies tried to understand each others' strength, and also sync the understanding during the emergency times.<br><br><i>In pic: French Navy helicopter Dauphin operating from INS Viraat.

'Very good week for Indo-French relations'
"This was very good week for Indo-French relations. We have a range of cooperation which are moving forward. Joint naval exercises being conducted since 1983
