No, this isn't a five star hotel or a restaurant, this is a swanky new Executive Lounge of New Delhi Railway Station. IRCTC and SSP Catering India have collaborated to set up a five star waiting lounge for the passengers at NDLS.

​SSP catering India Pvt Ltd has constructed over 50 waiting lounges all over the country at the airport premises, and for the first time in India it has constructed an executive lounge at a railway station.

To offer home like comfort and hotel like luxuries at a reasonable price, IRCTC's Executive Lounge has tied-up with Leela Palace and other hotels and travel booking sites. People can book their stay for the waiting timings online by logging on to the official IRCTC website.

Equipped with spic and span washrooms, air-conditioned lounge, luggage racks, Wi-Fi connectivity under one roof that too at a Delhi railway station is truly a welcome step to serve the passengers 24*7 in its best possible way. It accommodates 125 persons at a time.

The lounge offers other facilities like massage centre, family rooms, washing and changing, business centre, comfortable sitting areas with complimentary drinks and a buffet offering some great food.

The waiting passengers can enjoy entertainment facilities like 5D movie theater, Live TV, channel music.

​Facilities such as fax, photostat, scanning are also available with additional minimal charges.

The lounge is accessible through a swipe card, issued to a passenger at the time of check-in. The swipe card also calculates the time spent at the lounge.

The entry fee is Rs 150 for two hours, which allows travellers to sit in the lounge and enjoy complimentary drinks. After the first two hours, passengers will have to pay Rs 50 per hour.

Those opting for a buffet breakfast will have to shell out Rs 100 extra, while lunch or dinner will cost Rs 200. The Executive Lounge accepts credit cards and debit cards, apart from cash.

Passengers have to show their photo ID proof and valid train tickets to avail these services.
