Tata just unveiled its first sports coupe - TaMo RaceMo

Tata Motors has just unveiled its most ambitious RaceMo sports coupe on the first day of the 87th Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland.

Unlike the concept models Tata showcased in earlier motor shows, the RaceMo is a production ready Sportscar which will hit the Indian roads in the second half of 2018.

Conceived 22 months ago, the RaceMo is amongst the fastest project conceived at Tata Motors. The car is designed on a very innovative Moflex chassis construct by legendary designer Marcelo Gandini. Gandini used multi-material sandwich structure technology - which offers greater freedom in surface design, efficient large-scale part integration leading to modularity and faster time to market.

RaceMo aims to deliver a good balance between high performance and practicality. With a power of 190 PS and a maximum torque of 210 Nm backed by 1.2L Revotron Turbocharged, Intercooled Gasoline Engine.

RaceMo can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in under 6 seconds.

RaceMo is also India’s first connected car, bringing features such as advanced navigation, predictive maintenance, remote monitoring and over-the-air updates using Microsoft cloud-based technologies including advanced analytics, internet of thing (IoT) and machine learning powered by Microsoft Azure.

The body construction with integrated crash safety protection with driver and passenger air bags, meets upcoming Indian regulations.
