CLOSING BELL: SENSEX ENDS 107 PTS HIGHER
BSE Sensex added as many as 107 points or 0.34 per cent to end at 31,809.55 while the 50-share Nifty reclaimed 9,950 mark, closing the day 39 points or 0.40 higher at 9,952.20.

NIFTY REALTY TOP SECTORAL GAINER; OBEROI REALTY GAINS OVER

Nifty Realty index emerged as the biggest sectoral gainer on NSE in Tuesday's trade so far, with shares of Oberoi Realty (up 6.12 per cent) surging over 6 per cent. Indiabulls Real Estate (up 1.85 per cent), Housing Development and Infrastructure (HDIL) (up 1.52 per cent), DLF (up 1.20 per cent) and Delta Corp (up 1.14 per cent) also gained significantly.
Nearly 70 stocks, including Bombay Dyeing, Concor, Chambal Fertilizers, Dewan Housing Finance Corporation, Gruh Finance, JM Financial, Page Industries, Phillips Carbon, Raymond and Tata Steel hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Tuesday's trade.
A smallcap firm Arrow Greentech is buzzing on Dalal Street as the share price of the company has surged 25 per cent in nine trading sessions. Brokerage firm Centrum Wealth has also initiated the coverage of the stock with ‘Buy’ rating. The share price of the company advanced 25 per cent to Rs 687.60 on September 4 from Rs 542.20 on August 22, 2017.

Nifty Realty index emerged as the biggest sectoral gainer on NSE in Tuesday's trade so far, with shares of Oberoi Realty (up 6.12 per cent) surging over 6 per cent. Indiabulls Real Estate (up 1.85 per cent), Housing Development and Infrastructure (HDIL) (up 1.52 per cent), DLF (up 1.20 per cent) and Delta Corp (up 1.14 per cent) also gained significantly.
BSE benchmark Sensex snapped a three-day winning streak on Monday to shed weight amid rising geopolitical concerns. But momentum indicator moving average convergence divergence, or MACD, showed nearly 100 stocks have witnessed upward crossovers, or bullish crossovers, on BSE, indicating that they have begun an upward journey.

RELIGARE ENTERPRISES DROPS 2% AS LENDERS MOVE HC OVER
PROPOSED DIVESTMENT
Shares of Religare Enterprises fell over 2 per cent in Tuesday's trade amid reports that some investors holding pledged shares of the company have filed a lawsuit in Bombay HC against Malvinder Singh and Shivinder Singh after the company's promoters proposed that the firm pay Rs 500 crore from divestment proceeds to settle a loan given by Axis Bank to a Religare arm. Following the report, the stock fell 2.53 per cent to hit a low of Rs 42.25 on BSE.

RELIANCE CAPITAL DEMERGES HOUSING FINANCE BIZ, TRADES AT RS

Shares of Reliance Capital on Tuesday opened at Rs 687.40 ex-date, adjusting for the demerger of its home finance business. The housing finance arm will be listed separately on bourses. Reliance Capital shareholders will get a share of Reliance Home Finance for each share of Reliance Capital held as on Tuesday. The company will still hold 51 per cent stake in RHF.

After falling over 25 per cent in the past five trading sessions, shares of Kwality extended their fall for the sixth consecutive trading session on Tuesday. The scrip plunged as much as 16 per cent to its fresh 52-week low of Rs 95.50 in early trade.
On Tuesday, we expect a quiet start to the market and in the absence of any negative news flow, the favourable technical conditions are likely to take over and the market is likely to trade with a positive bias. PNB METLIFE TO LIST ON BOURSES
PNB Metlife may well be the fourth life insurance company to list on stock exchanges as the company looks to raise funds, three people close to the development said. The company could be valued at over Rs 8,000 crore. ICICI Prudential was the first insurer to be publicly listed in September 2016. SBI Life and HDFC Life are in the process of listing by December.

ASIAN MARKETS TRADING WEAK
Stock markets were under pressure on Tuesday after previous day’s global selloff in the wake of North Korea’s most powerful nuclear test at the weekend, while safe havens such as gold remained firm, Reuters reported. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was off 0.05 per cent, having shed 0.8 per cent on the previous day, with South Korea's Kospi was off 0.1 per cent.

GLITCH HALTS TRADING ON MCX
Trading on India’s commodity exchange MCX was halted for almost an hour on Monday evening because of a technical glitch in the upgraded software version that went live earlier during the trading day, brokers and market sources told ET. MCX and Sebi officials were not available immediately for comment on the hour-long outage that ended at around 7:35 pm. But sources aware of the development confirmed that trading was halted and client orders failed to go through to the exchange.

STOCKS SHUT OVERNIGHT ON ACCOUNT OF PUBLIC HOLIDAY
US markets were shut overnight on account of Labor Day. But Dow Jones futures were down 0.24 per cent at 21,928. On Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average index rose 39.46 points, or 0.18 per cent, to settle at 21,987.56. The S&P500 index gained 4.9 points, or 0.20 per cent, to end at 2,476.55. The Nasdaq Composite index added 6.67 points, or 0.1 per cent, to close at 6,435.
