SINTEX INDUSTRIES SURGES 14% ON BULK DEALS
Shares of Sintex Industries surged nearly 14 per cent in Thursday's trade after Morgan Stanley bought nearly 36 lakh shares in the company in a bulk deal on Wednesday.
IT major TCS is going to announce its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2017 on Thursday post market hours. Usually, the first quarter of fiscal is expected to be a weak one for the IT industry given the wage revisions that may contribute to 70-120 basis points sequential contraction in margins for TCS. However, a rise in visa costs and appreciating rupee are also seen denting the IT firm’s Q1 numbers.

Shares of two prominent domestic IT players- Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.45 per cent) and Infosys (up 0.72 per cent), were hogging the limelight in Nifty IT index as both stocks emerged as buyers' favourite in Thursday's trading session. TCS is expected to report 2.5 per cent to 3.5 per cent sequential growth in dollar revenue for the June quarter, with up to 200 basis points contraction in margins on Thursday.

Shares of Idea Cellular climbed nearly 3 per cent in Thursday's trade on reports that market watchdog Sebi is examining whether the proposed merger between Vodafone India and the Kumar Mangalam Birla-owned Idea Cellular will trigger an open offer under the takeover rules. CRUDE OIL SLIPS
Oil prices dipped early on Thursday as producer club OPEC said it expected demand for its crude to decline next year as rivals pump more, pointing to a market surplus in 2018 despite efforts to tighten the market. Brent crude futures were at $47.64 per barrel, down 10 cents, or 0.2 percent, from their last close. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were at $45.37 per barrel, down 12 cents, or 0.3 percent.

RUPEE STRONGER ON WEDNESDAY
The rupee on Wednesday recovered by five paise to close at 64.54 against the US currency on fresh dollar selling by banks and exporters. A bearish greenback tone overseas largely aided the rupee recovery. The rupee had fallen six paise on Tuesday.

ASIAN MARKETS BOUYANT
Asian shares scaled a two-year top on Thursday as investors wagered policy tightening in the United States would be glacial at best, lifting Wall Street to record peaks and lowering bond yields almost everywhere, reports Reuters. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan rose 0.45 percent to its highest since mid-2015. Japan's Nikkei firmed 0.4 per cent and Australia's main index jumped 1 per cent.

SENSEX ON WEDNESDAY
Scaling record highs has become a new normal for the Sensex and Nifty, which hit new record highs for the third consecutive session on Wednesday. The Sensex ended the day 57 points higher at 31,804 with Hindustan Uniliver (up 2.04 per cent), ONGC (up 1.59 per cent), SBI (up 1.34 per cent) aiding the gains. The Nifty50 gained 30 points to end the day at 9,816. Shares of ACC, Infratel, Ambuja Cement surged up to 3 per cent.
