- Pawan Munjal was 24 when he joined Majestic Auto -- the first motorised two-wheeler business of Hero Group -- in 1979
- In 1984, Hero collaborated with the Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda to form Hero Honda. In the years that followed, Munjal worked across various departments including sales, supplier selections, plant operations and finance within the company
- Munjal was appointed the CEO & managing director of Hero Honda Motors Ltd. in 2001 and held the positions till 2011
- After Hero and Honda split in 2011, Munjal assumed the role of CEO & managing director at the newly-formed Hero MotoCorp Ltd.
- In 2014, he was elevated to the position of vice-chairman of the company, while retaining his previous designations
- After his father, Brijmohan Lall Munjal, stepped down from the helm of the company, Pawan Munjal was appointed as the chairman of Hero MotoCorp
- According to the company's website, Hero MotoCorp became the world's no. 1 two-wheeler company in 2001, and has retained the top spot for 19 consecutive years
- Among others, Munjal holds board seats in various Hero Group companies including Hero Future Energies, Hero Fincorp, Hero Honda Finlease and Hero Investments
