Objective of it All

All true spiritual progress centres, finally, on effectiveness and inner clarity. This clarity is reflected in the ‘coming together’ and ‘flowering forth’ of things, with dreams hardening into reality naturally and elegantly, as if these had merely been waiting for the ball to be set in motion. It would be obvious that this felicitous process involves not merely acquiring worthwhile virtues but more so, being weaned from the dross, mediocre and the dull; not merely being always clear in what one needs and wants, like a river knowing where it is headed but more so, not ever being confused, vacillating or doubtful; not merely being creatively dynamic but more so, not ever being retarded by any sloth, stagnation or drift.

In essence, the entire process is translating into practice the prayer, asato ma sat gamaya, tamaso ma jyotir gamaya , mrityo ma amrutam gamaya. Naturally so, in this process is inbuilt those blessings , which the seeking aspirant has always prayed for – effective management of time and resources and being saved of all “folly, vanity and vice” , cleansed of conflicts and various ‘enemies within and without’.

This and this alone, is the objective of it all, the acid test of all spiritual progress and the proof of the ‘pudding’ of true life, experienced through actually ‘tasting’ it. This also is discovering the meaning for one’s very existence on earth as a human, endowed with immense powers of that true divinity, which, verily, is nothing but being creatively effective and being useful to one and all, primarily to oneself !
