Harmonise activities
To ensure that relaxation is true and enduring, it is necessary to 'harmonise' and 'integrate' all activities. By this, it is meant that all that one issues forth (through thought, word or deed) are consistent with one another. In short, every activity, by not militating against the other, follows logically in a life marked by 'flow', elegance and, thus, tangible accomplishment.

This is obtained through the power of clarity, precision and authenticity, which comes to those who are centred in their evolved self, knowing their 'truest interests' and, thus, their priorities and orientation in life. As a beginning, the seeker should guard himself against the 'single slip', which directly impacts on one's progress to true relaxation.

One example is with regard to a regimen of diet control and discipline, which many undertake. Things would appear to be going well until in a binge or eating and drinking spree, old habits return, as if with a vengeance, knocking out the advantages, so assiduously accumulated.

Similar are the aborted attempts including on spiritual progress where instances of flare up, dishonesty or untruth (few and far between though they may be) wipe out, as if in a jiffy, all the good work done. So near, yet so far! Consistency ( samatvam) is to relaxation just as eternal vigilance is to freedom.

This enduring and sustained relaxation enables one to divine the truth (satyam), which, "setting you free", is true spirituality (sivam). And it is this comprehension, on which is written all over, that true beauty (sundaram)!
