Discover your Truth
When John Keats declared that truth is beauty, he also conveyed the message that one who divines truth of matters, as applicable to himself, would have instinctively obtained for himself beauty and felicity in life and living.

The above message also conveys that though this 'truth' is universal, this also has many facets and manifestations. Each aspirant has to select and thereafter cement those which are applicable to him. For instance, as far as a teacher is concerned, what would be the 'truth' concerning him would be properly educating his students. This, doubtless, is one facet of his 'truth'. However, this would not be directly applicable to, say, a policeman, whose avocation is not pedagogy.

'Truth', as applicable to oneself, would, besides knowing what one's work upon this earth is, also include the art of carrying out all the attendant work well and effectively. This also includes the art of effectiveness and very importantly, that of life and living - karmasu koushalam.

Doing all that one does and issuing forth all that he would properly, precluding and preempting wrongs and mistakes, is through wisdom gained. Thereafter, actions even if they be instantaneous or instinctive, would be progress oriented. In his endeavour to obtain this practical wisdom (which, verily is 'truth'), Benjamin Franklin repeated to himself the prayer of Thomson imploring the "Father of light, thou Good Supreme", to "teach me what is good, teach me Thyself".

This, indeed, is a powerful prayer for discovering one's own goodly 'truth'!
