One way of evolving into this state is to divine for oneself ' truth' of matters through observation, analysis and synthesis, leading to the realisation that mere materialistic gains and pursuitsare only superficial, ephemeral and often burdensome. Authentic living, rooted in effectiveness and 'flow', comes about through being contented and freed of conflicts and all kindred retarding mental formations.
Another way of attaining this true freedom is through fully giving expression to all worldly desires, including sensual, in a righteous and skilful manner (in the spirit of artha, kama and dharma). Consequent on thus experiencing, almost to the point of satiation, the spiritual aspirant 'transcends' these calls from within, to obtain liberation ( moksha) from them. He, thus, becomes atmatruptaha ( Gita: 3,17) and niraasi (4,21).
Having one's fill and, thus, enjoying to the hilt, also in the proper manner, is bhukti. The liberation ( moksha) from cravings, which naturally follows, is mukti. In this state, the seeker obtains all his true needs from the evolved self within ( antasukah, antararamaha, antarjyoti), no more having to depend on anything without.
The most sublime spiritual desire is, thus, to be truly desire-less! Paradoxical though it may seem, this is realised, more often than not, by truly fulfilling all desires!
