Time for reflection

Our ancestors explored the mysteries of creation, recognised interconnectedness of all life, and aspired for transcendental mind. For them, Earth was Bhu Mata, Mother Earth, worthy of reverence. Are we protecting her today with the same devotion? Environmental concerns are among the most pressing issues of our time, yet solutions often remain unimplemented. Balanced planning can ensure that development does not result in merciless deforestation. Awareness is present, but true change requires committed and consistent action.

True independence also calls for transformation in leadership. Our political leadership, justice system and governance must be entrusted to people of integrity who are politically wise, socially conscious and spiritually evolved. As Plato said, the ideal leader is a political philosopher, one who guides, governs and lives by the nation's core values.

India has the cultural depth to guide the world in environmental stewardship, ethical governance and purposeful living. Technological and economic progress have placed us among emerging superpowers, but our unmatched strength lies in the power of the transcendental mind, in the ability to blend progress with purpose, and in proving that material growth and spiritual strength can flourish together. When each of us lives by our values, protects our environment, and contributes selflessly to the common good, we strengthen the very foundation of our freedom.
