How can we preserve the integrity of our planet Earth, which looks like a pale blue dot from afar in space, from rapidly turning brown? Offering theories merely provides great excitement, like a stock market boom that lasts a long time. Pointing fingers at political leaders, social groups and intellectuals will not save the planet and its resources from shrinking. Such futile notions, beliefs and propaganda had stifled us for a long time. Compassion is needed now more than ever; impersonal compassion that extends beyond love's value is all-inclusive, recognising interconnectedness of ecosystems and biodiversity.

It acknowledges that well-being of humans, animals and natural world is interconnected and mutually dependent. It prompts individuals to consider impact of their actions on the environment and make choices that promote sustainability and ecological balance. It extends to marginalised communities affected by environmental degradation and climate change. Compassionate living ensures equitable access to all resources and recognises the finite nature of Earth's resources, seeking to live in harmony with nature.

Compassion cannot be taught; it must arise inside, from depths of the heart. Being compassionate is being sensitive to the core. The present is not for contemplating countless philosophical, cosmic and social theories, but for an imperative need to have compassion, a fundamental virtue that can alone prevent the blue dot from vanishing.
