Prakriti and transcendence

As a celestial figure, Krishn arrives to champion virtue and balance. He weaves together the tangible and the divine, guiding seekers toward liberation from the mundane. The path of devotion and diligent practice empowers individuals to transform ...

Krishn, unmanifest and transcendental, reveals himself through immanence - taking form as an avatar to restore dharm. Gita teaches that whenever righteousness declines, he descends to protect the good and destroy evil. Thus, transcendence and immanence are complementary, like light that is both wave and particle.

The Paramatma dwells in everyone's heart. Matter, prakriti, governed by three gunas, Sattva, Rajas and Tamas, is God's material energy, while the embodied souls are His divine energy. Spiritual practice integrates both material offerings of fruit and flowers and transcendental devotion expressed through prayer and meditation.

Gita emphasises liberation from the cycle of birth and death. By transcending the gunas of maya, one attains the eternal abode of God. The world, temporary and sorrowful, contrasts with Vaikunth, the realm of bliss. Elevating the mind from material knowledge to divine wisdom, transforming worldly assets into spiritual assets, and anchoring consciousness in God.

Gita introduces the kshetra, body, the field of activity, and kshetrajna, knower of the field. Life forms are combinations of matter and divine consciousness, bound by karm. Prakriti is the womb, and God the seed-giving father, birthing species. Five factors govern action: body, soul, senses, effort and Divine Providence. Thus, every action unites material and transcendental forces.

Material offerings and duties are stepping stones; transcendence is the culmination. Through surrender and devotion, the soul ascends to Vaikunth. When we, Arjunas of the world, align with Krishn, victory and righteousness inevitably follow.
