Our way of life emphasises the truth that all humanity is One, and that we must respect all faiths and cultures. Truth is One, but the Sages call it by many names. Samabhav, samadrishti, equality and common vision are embedded in our value systems.

Did you know that what we now refer to as Hinduism or Sanatan Dharm was also known as Manav Dharm, or religion of humanity? Religious, linguistic, cultural diversity is a reality in daily lives of all urban centres in the world today. It is only our faith in our shared humanity that will enable us to live in peaceful coexistence under such conditions of diversity.

Our ancient scriptures and the great truths they enshrine give us the faith and the insights that will enable us to live happy, harmonious lives under changing conditions. There is no room for feelings about an alien, foreigner or 'other' in the global village.

What can help us achieve this sense of shared values and common humanity is the undeniable fact that all faiths, all cultures hold the same underlying values of man's relation to God and the interconnectedness of all creation. This interconnectedness is also stressed in the Isa Upanishad: that the entire cosmos with all that is and moves, is pervaded by the Divine.
