A troubling pattern is emerging in public life, as we often anticipate threats before they fully materialise. A rumour, geopolitical tension, economic fluctuation or technological shift can quickly trigger waves of anxiety. Societies begin to imagine the worst even before reality has unfolded.
Faith allows individuals and societies to remain calm in the face of change. Faith strengthens the belief that solutions can emerge when people act with responsibility and goodwill. In the spiritual sense, faith also reminds us that life is not governed only by fear and conflict. Beneath the noise of daily events lies a deeper harmony. When we cultivate trust in goodness - in ourselves and the larger human family - we become less vulnerable to needless anxiety.
This does not mean ignoring real risks. Awareness and preparedness are important in any society. But exaggerating danger or constantly predicting disaster weakens collective confidence. A fearful society loses the clarity required to solve problems wisely. What we need today is balance. Recognise challenges, but do not magnify them.
In a world filled with rapid change, humanity does not need more alarm; it needs calm courage and reflective wisdom.
