In the closing verse of Gita lies an insight that feels surprisingly relevant: 'Where there is Krishn, lord of wisdom, and Arjun, a skilled archer, there is prosperity, victory, flourishing and righteousness.' (Gita, 18.78) Gita has reminded us that wars are fought within the human mind. Arjun represents competence, discipline, effort and mastery. We admire Arjun in entrepreneurs, professionals, creators and ambitious young minds striving to excel.
Gita reminds us that beside Arjun stands Krishn, representing discernment, awareness and intelligence that help us understand how to act and why action matters. Krishn is the inner compass that asks difficult questions: what serves a larger good? What kind of success leaves the mind peaceful and heart undisturbed?
Perhaps this explains hidden fatigue of modern life. We have become highly skilled at aiming an arrow but are uncertain about the direction in which it must travel. Gita honours excellence. Arjun's skill matters deeply. But skill acquires grace only when guided by wisdom. This may be why the verse promises shri, abundance, bhuti, well-being, and niti, righteousness. Success, in this understanding, is alignment.
