As battle lines are drawn, many kings side with either Pandavs or Kauravs due to allegiance to their king, kinship, personal relationships or moral grounds. Duryodhan and Arjun go to Krishn to ask for his and his army's help. Finding Krishn asleep, Duryodhan sits near Krishn's head while Arjun waits at Krishn's feet. When Krishn wakes up, he sees Arjun first and gives him the first choice for considering his proposal; that is, he would give his Narayani Sena, army, to one side and himself, as a non-combatant to the other. Arjun wisely chooses Krishn, and Duryodhan is greatly relieved seeing that Arjun did not ask for the mighty army. He knew that the presence of the Divine on one's side always ensures victory.
The Mahabharat war was fought to establish dharm. Those who joined the forces of unrighteousness and injustice were vanquished, and those who sided with dharmic forces, blessed by the Divine, won.
Therefore, let us invoke the divine presence within our hearts through devotion, prayer, and meditation to ensure success in our life's endeavours.
