India is a vibrant democracy that has a huge population with multiple castes, creeds and religions. The comparison with small countries is hardly tenable. We are achieving growth in various spheres, but it will be slow due to various constraints. What we achieved in atomic energy will ultimately be achieved in other areas too.

BRV Shanbhag Our self-serving politicians have rarely thought of the advantages of attracting tourism. The incumbent government is trying to change it but we are not supporting the efforts due to selfish politicians and rich industrialists.

Nobody stopped the previous governments from building good infrastructure or a clean country, it is just that the intent was never there. We don’t even encourage people with bright ideas, forcing them to leave the country so that they can excel in other countries.

The writer has given a good description of Iran and I invite my fellow countrymen to visit Iranian cities such as Tehran, Esfahan, Maashad, Shiraz, Yazd and the Caspian coast, and enjoy the rich heritage of this country.
