In Italy, a strange controversy has broken out. Agriculture minister Francesco Lollobrigida - yes, he is the grandnephew of the 1950s-60s actress Gina Lollobrigida - who also happens to be the brother-in-law of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, made an 'extraordinary stop' on the train he and his entourage was travelling to inaugurate an urban park. He has been now accused of using the high-speed train as his 'personal luxury car' to make an unscheduled stop and then make his own way to his destination. The train was almost two hours late when Lollobrigida boarded it, and was further delayed by a fault on the high-speed line, making the minister 'request' the train operator to 'drop them off' so he wouldn't miss his event. Now, Lollobrigida is being accused of 'unprecedented abuse of power', the former Italian PM Matteo Renzi calling for his resignation.
