So, is it some nifty side effect of global warming that brings these dolphins to the warmer climes? Or is it that we didn't really know how cosmopolitan they are? Probably a mix of both. Marine biologists, who had spotted orcas last year in Goan waters and Maharashtra's Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg coastline in 2019, are intrigued by this intercontinental migration, wondering if the orcas are seeking an underwater script rewrite or just testing the waters for a potential Bollywood cameo. As they breach and frolic, and make their friendly presence underline how inappropriate they are to be called 'killer whales', one can't help but think: move over dolphins, there's a new pod in town, and they've got killer style in their B&W tuxes.
