Kya Tiger aur Zoya zinda honge in 2022?

Policymakers are following one news item carefully: whether Salman Khan and his family are not invited to the wedding of Katrina Kaif and Vicky 'Not Just Donor' Kaushal scheduled next week. There is no reason why one should not believe Khan's sister, Arpita, who stated that the Khans have not received an invitation. So, what should policymakers - who have always maintained in these post-non-aligned movement times that one should not cut off diplomatic ties with 'special friend status' entities-turned-plain entities - do now? Make backroom efforts to reach out to the Kaushal family, requesting them to womanfully send off a last-minute invitation to - or, even better, meet - the Khan matriarch, Helen, and ask for her (and no one else's) blessings?

A wedding invite list is, of course, the prerogative of the families of the bride and groom. But, in this case, a bigger matter is at stake - Tiger 3, slated for release in December 2022. For Tiger and Zoya's adventures to continue with the much-needed box-office vigour in these pandemic-starved times for Bollywood, their off-screen personas can't be having the 'katti of ex-es'. Or, will good policy actually be to let the non-invitation of Sallu-bhai to Katrina ki shaadi continue, thereby building up a tension that only 'Tiger aur Zoya (ka connection) zinda hain' can release?
