But the real cutting-edge craze? Swimming in holiday destinations from island to island, cove to cove, with a scenic lunch break in a tiny fishing village. You get the, well, drift. A boat tags along, carrying your gear, of course. This, dear reader, is the ultimate in slow travel.

So, instead of showing off your Kumbh dip and regaling about your next trip to NYC, why not give a swimming trip a shot? Remember, a dip and a dive won't cut it this time.
