Shouldn't read too much into last five days of correction: Sudip Bandyopadhyay
"The market had rallied quite a bit in December and there was some amount of correction warranted and global markets also have not been very supportive."

ET Now: The markets have not seen the best of starts so far this year. Is this an indication of how earnings will be, or it is just nervousness before we resume the uptrend again?
Sudip Bandyopadhyay: Well, I do not think it has got anything to do with earnings. Generally, the market is drifting downwards very, very slowly. The market had rallied quite a bit in December and there was some amount of correction warranted and global markets also have not been very supportive.
There is very clear indication that a little bit of squeeze in liquidity in the global markets has been happening, predominately in China and that is the reason why Indian markets are soft. I do not think we should read too much into these last five days correction.
