Rail Budget focuses on passengers' benefit: SK Nevatia, CMD, Hind Rectifiers

In a chat with ET Now, SK Nevatia, CMD, Hind Rectifiers, talks about this year's Rail Budget. Excerpts:

ET Now: How do you think your firm will benefit assuming that Indian railways intend to spend more as envisioned in the Rail Budget?

SK Nevatia: Prabhu has concentrated on passengers' benefit. He has given a very detailed and excellent outlook for the passengers.

But for rolling stock he has not mentioned anything at all. He said he will spell out possible increases in CLW or ICF in a few months' time.

Only after that we can say something positive. At the moment, we can only feel happy about his proposal to increase and extend the railway line.

To that extent there will be more locomotives too, but he has given no specific figure. He said he will give relevant details only after two months.
