Pleased with broad-based results in Q3: Vishal Sikka, Infosys

In a chat with ET Now, Vishal Sikka, CEO & MD of Infosys, shares his thoughts on the company earnings. Excerpts:

ET Now: What are your comments on the earnings?

Vishal Sikka: In a company the size of Infosys, there cannot be one single factor contributing to these numbers. We have been doing well on all fronts. If you look at the performance in the first three quarters of the year, we have grown faster in the top accounts than the overall company. We have been growing in new deals as well - we had five deals and they add up to about a billion dollars in TCB that we won in the last quarter.

I feel a tremendous sense of optimism about the company which was not there before and am pleased with the broad-based results in Q3. And it has been nine months since we launched the zero distance initiative. Every single project that we've taken up and that started before November 15 comes under this zero distance. I wouldn't have even imagined we would reach this kind of coverage a year back.

We have also achieved structural innovation with artificial intelligence with AiKiDo. So it has been amazing to see new technologies being adopted. All these are contributing to these numbers. It is leading to more effective conversations with clients and that is leading to deal wins. So it is a combination of all of these things.
