Markets running ahead of fundamentals: Nitin Raheja, AQF Advisors

In an interview with ET Now, Nitin Raheja, Co- Founder, AQF Advisors, shares his views on markets. Excerpts:

ET Now: It is once again back to basics that is what you want to see. Markets are clearly adjusting numbers.

Nitin Raheja: Just as people are looking at the political report card, the market report card is also out there and what you are seeing is a clear phase of time correction because just as investor optimism on the broader macro economy is now getting tempered, people are looking at a recovery being much more gradual and a little back-ended. Similarly, markets are always a game between fundamentals and prices. So, right now you are seeing prices having run up a little ahead of fundamentals and adjusting to that.

ET Now: What are your top investment bets at this point?

Nitin Raheja: At this point, what we are looking at is some companies on the mid-tier midcap pharma space. There are logistics companies, so it is pretty much scattered and bottom up, not stock specific as such.
