In a chat with ET Now, SK Ghosh, Chief Economic Adviser, Economic Research Department, State Bank of India shares his thoughts on China and markets: Excerpts

ET Now: Do you want to come in with the China story since we are talking about it?

Dr SK Ghosh: Yes. The China story for a long time has been a little wobbly. For example, if you look at yesterday’s data which came out from the China real estate market, out of 70 cities, 69 had witnessed a steep year-on-year fall in prices. So, the real estate market in China is actually in trouble. Also, there is the problem of the Chinese banks. I mean the shadow banks. So, the investors are always a little bit worried when you talk about the China story.
