Have equity as part of your portfolio; invest 30% of savings in stocks: Anoop Bhaskar, UTI AMC
"If you are able to just keep doing that, then you do not have to worry about market levels as many of the common risk factors won't matter to you."

ET Now: How would approach investing at the moment?
Anoop Bhaskar: Most investors don't have the aim to reach wealth levels of Rs 100 crore or so, as was evident in the case of IDFC.
The key is to have equity as just one part of your portfolio — be it 20%, 25% or 30%. If you are able to just keep doing that, then you do not have to worry about market levels.
It is only when you want to have only equity in your portfolio and you are in a hurry to get to that Rs 100-crore number will you take the risk of trying to time the market.
So ideally, the focus should be on having 30% of your savings in equity. If you are able to do that, many of the common risk factors won't matter to you.
The only important thing is that you should stick with your equity portfolio for a period of 15 to 20 years. That is how I approach investing. I believe it would fit the bill for most investors.
