Banking, retail & media poised to outperform on Govt’s growth push: Dharmesh Mehta, Axis Capital

In a chat with ET Now, Dharmesh Mehta, MD-Institutional Equities, Axis Capital, talks about his company’s investor conference in Singapore. Excerpts:

ET Now: At your conference in Singapore, what would be the big idea that you would showcase?

Dharmesh Mehta: Banking is the key thing. Then retail is there and so is media. These are the three consumption stories. It is not just because these are interest rate sensitive.

It is also because the real India Inc will start investing money in the country now. And that is where you will require banks. This will make earnings flow into them.
