AAP seems to be future of politics in India: Jamal Mecklai, Mecklai Financial Services
'Obviously, this rally is BJP-driven. But according to the sentiment, everybody is really excited about something new, finally.'

ET Now: Do you think the reaction in the currency market is also an outcome of the state elections?
Jamal Mecklai: That is pretty clear. It has been a great weekend. It is clear that the BJP has done very well, and a lot of people and markets are jumping on that. However, the real story is what the people of Delhi have done. The Aam Aadmi Party is the future or at least cleaner politics and ultimately clean politics is the future. If that gets sustained, as I believe it will, then it can be good for two-three percentage points of growth easily.
ET Now: But some would argue that is hope against hope - Aam Aadmi coming back and having an impact on the national GDP, isn’t that a stretch?
Jamal Mecklai: Aam Aadmi will not run the government for ten years. There will an election and the BJP will come in; and then there will be another election and the BJP will come in again. However, the Aam Aadmi Party will be growing as an opposition. You cannot run a country in a year. You have to learn how to do it. But the very presence of the Aam Aadmi Party is going to start demanding cleaner people in politics.
Now, it does not happen overnight. Obviously this rally is BJP-driven. But according to the sentiment, everybody is really excited about something new, finally.
