32% of our total revenue comes from exports: Ballram Garg, PC Jeweller

In an interview with ET Now, Ballram Garg, MD, PC Jeweller, shares his business outlook and growth plans. Excerpts:

ET Now: Please share with us your current store count and the retail store addition plans going forward.

Ballram Garg: Right now, we have 30 stores and the square feet area is around 1,65,000 sq ft and going forward, we are adding 37000 sq ft in this fiscal year with four new states. Next year, we would be adding 1 lakh sq ft area with seven new states. So by 2014, we will be having around 50 stores, with the total area being around 3 lakh sq ft.

ET Now: Can you give us a break up between your domestic and export sales?

Ballram Garg: Yes, 32% of our total revenue is coming from exports and 68% from the domestic side.

ET Now: If you could also tell us how much is the total debt on your books?

Ballram Garg: As on 30th September, we had Rs 375 cr of working capital against the net worth of Rs 700 crore. So our debt-equity ratio is 0.55% and we are very comfortable and are getting credit of gold and diamond. So we give the same credit to our buyers also.
