Under Mamata didi's watchful eyes let anybody assume that they can get away with a joke
Having ousted the Left from Bengal, Mamata Banerjee is rapidly implementing her own brand of radical chic.

It is Didi, in her omniscient wisdom who detected early the attempt of one university professor and one retired engineer, to sully the image of Bengal’s most powerful, hardworking, honest, dedicated and wise chief minister ever by circulating an evil email sometime after sundown, someday. The timing of the email was suspect, its contents abhorrent. The mail lifted lines, allegedly from some obscure film, and put them in the mouth of Didi and her protégé, the dynamic (but less dynamic than Didi) railway minister Mukul Roy. Kolkata’s cops, alerted by Didi, have swooped down and arrested the perpetrators.
“This is not a jokes,” said a source close to Didi. The same source said that the Kolkata police and its department of forensic hermeneutics are now hard at work, employing unique technologies so far unknown to man (sorry, woman) to determine the weight, composition, chemical and other properties of the abhorrent thing that was sent out as a jokes by the perpetrators.
The analysis is also expected to delve into the colour of the message and ascertain whether it is Red-shifted. Progress has been rapid. It is already established that the original author of the text in the mail is a person going by the name of S Ray, who calls himself a film-maker. If this is established, a source close to Didi has said, “This Ray shall not escape the harshest punishment, and will certainly be painted in blue and white stripes.”
