Emotions are crucial stimuli. In a crisis situation like Covid-19 pandemic, people tend to act (conative coping; e.g., revenge travel) to deal with the stress caused by the crisis, rather than learning about (cognitive coping) and making sense of the situation.

In certain contexts, and for certain types of behaviours, affective variables are crucial for understanding and predicting behaviours....

Obviously, the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted and distracted people's lives and emotions. Individuals' agitated behaviours lead to different types of behavioural activities, such as revenge travel....


In practical point of view, policymakers must not ignore this kind of phenomenon that affects the tourism industry these days due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The tourism industry must be ready to accommodate revenge travellers to initiate tourism and revive the tourism industry.

Understanding the behavioural intentions of revenge travellers to frame policies and protective measures and plan for possibilities related to tourism during this pandemic may be effective. However, in the future, empirical study must be conducted to reiterate the proposed relationships. Using appropriate method and statistical inference to draw the conclusions might provide better insights about revenge travel.
