Within an hour, they returned with 6 suspects. 'Excellent,' said the inspector. 'Any confessions?' 'All 6, sir.'
'Remarkable! Where's the watch?'
'Each suspect says he sold it.'

Pre-Crime
A man walked into a police station and announced that he wanted to confess to a murder.
Inspector: Who did you kill?
Man: My wife.
Inspector: When?
Man: Tomorrow.
Inspector [sighed]: We cannot arrest you for a crime you haven't committed.
Man: That's what my lawyer said. But I'm here to establish an alibi.
Quiet Riot
A riot policeman was sent to disperse an angry crowd protesting against something somewhere. Armed with a lathi and tear-gas canister, he shouted, 'Disperse immediately! Or I'll have to use force!'
Nobody moved. 'I'm warning you! This is an unlawful assembly!'
A protester shouted, 'We're all unemployed! What have we got to lose?'
The policeman thought for a moment.
'Fair point,' he said. 'Actually, they're cutting police jobs too.' The crowd cheered and invited him to join. An hour later, he was leading them to the barricades.
