Shopping for gifts is never an easy task. But even with this challenge daunting for most of us, finding the right present can bring a pleasure that is a gift by itself.

There are numerous factors to consider: type of gift, the recipient, your budget, the occasion... the list can make even an algorithm shudder. But when you finally pinpoint that Perfect Thing - or, inshallah, what you hope be perfect for your gift-taker - it is pure joy with a large helping of relief.

Some might argue that online shopping has made things easier. Uh-huh, not always the case. With the entire world at your fingertips, the sheer variety of choices can leave you feeling lost in a wonderland.


Once you navigate your way through this global marketplace, and select and pay for the gift with the click of a button, it feels like a small victory. But, wait, there's more to come: 'tracking the gift'. This can be more challenging than buying the gift itself.

All said and done, though, the joy is not about finally managing to buy a gift but about adding one more life skill to your kitty.
