Diwali Dabba appreciation

One Diwali, Mr Sharma opened his neighbour's gift and discovered a handwritten note inside: 'Dear Sharmaji, this box contains almonds purchased in 2019. If you are reading this, please stop circulating it. My wife wants the box back.'
Mr Sharma immediately telephoned his neighbour. 'Wonderful news!' he announced. 'Your almonds have appreciated considerably.'
'How?'
'They've become badam barfis!'
AQI Ho Raha Hai?
A Delhi environmentalist decided to celebrate Diwali without crackers, candles, diyas or anything that might remotely disturb the air. He switched off his lights, disconnected his refrigerator, stopped cooking and instructed his family to breathe less.
His neighbour, meanwhile, was setting off enough fireworks to suggest a military coup. The environmentalist complained to the police.
'Sir,' explained the cop, 'we are taking pollution extremely seriously.'
'Then arrest my neighbour!'
'Impossible. He's celebrating Diwali.'
'So, what are you doing?!'
'We've arrested three mosquitoes for violating emission norms.'
Environmentalist [sighs]: Any progress?
Cop: Certainly. Two have applied for bail. The third has joined an NGO.
