Denmark will introduce a new immigration pathway from January 1, 2027, allowing eligible employers to hire foreign nationals from 16 selected countries, including India
The new route will be available to Danish employers that meet specific requirements, including being covered by a relevant collective agreement, operating for at least two years and having at least 10 full-time employees in Denmark.

Employers will also need to register with the Danish immigration authority and obtain a certificate confirming that they meet the eligibility conditions.
India among countries covered
India is among the countries whose nationals will be eligible for employment under the new scheme. The list also includes Albania, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, Malaysia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Singapore, Ukraine, the UK and the US, Fragomen said.The pathway could provide eligible Danish employers with another option to recruit workers from overseas, including India.
Minimum salary set at DKK 322,000

According to Fragomen, this is lower than the minimum salary levels applicable under some other common employment routes in Denmark.
However, the scheme will not be open to all Danish employers. Companies must meet the prescribed conditions and obtain certification from the Danish immigration authority before they can use the pathway.
The new scheme is set to take effect on January 1, 2027.
