The centre was inaugurated by Mohan Charan Majhi and Yummi Talwar, Chief Operating Officer, South Asia, VFS Global, in the presence of officials from Austria, Italy and Switzerland. This is the company’s second Visa Application Centre in eastern India and is aimed at improving access to visa services in the region.
Services begin with 10 countries
Spanning around 3,000 sq ft, the facility is located in a central area of Bhubaneswar and is accessible through public and private transport. The centre is designed to handle applications in a more efficient manner with updated infrastructure and services.In the first phase, the centre will process visa applications for the UK, Ireland, Austria, Estonia, Italy, Malta, Switzerland, Japan, Morocco and Egypt. The company said more countries will be added in the coming months to expand services further.

The launch comes as VFS Global expands its network in India.
The company currently provides visa services for 53 countries through more than 560 centres across 20 cities.
