UAE-India airfares for Dussehra, Diwali remain affordable for now

Dussehra falls on October 20 this year, followed by Diwali on November 8. The period is among the busiest for UAE-based Indians travelling to India to celebrate the festivals with family.

For travel between October 19 and November 9, fares from Dubai to several major Indian cities remain relatively affordable. Tickets to Mumbai start at about Dh1,072, while fares to New Delhi are around Dh1,439. Flights to Kochi start at about Dh1,042, Bengaluru at Dh945 and Hyderabad at Dh1,017.
Fares to some cities are higher because of fewer flight options. A Dubai-Varanasi ticket is around Dh2,303, while Dubai-Jaipur fares are about Dh1,426 for the period checked.

Passengers flying from Sharjah can find fares at similar levels on Air Arabia. Tickets to Mumbai are around Dh1,072, while fares to Bengaluru start at Dh945. Sharjah-Chennai is around Dh1,205, Kochi about Dh1,042 and Tiruchirapalli around Dh1,370.
