Indian travellers looking for an international trip in July may find Oman an affordable and less crowded option. With flight tickets starting at approximately starting at an affordable price, Oman continues to offer value for money during the summer off-season, as per a report by Conde Nast Traveller.

Despite high daytime temperatures in several parts of the country, tourists can explore Oman through early morning outdoor activities and evening cultural experiences. The Hajar Mountains remain a key attraction for adventure travellers. Visitors can drive through the scenic roads of Jebel Akhdar, known for its terraced rose gardens and canyon views. Popular trekking spots include Wadi Bani Habib, an abandoned mountain village, and the Saiq Plateau, a popular place to watch the sunrise.

In the capital city, Muscat, travellers can explore museums and heritage centres. The Bait Al Zubair museum displays traditional Omani weapons, clothing, and household items. Oman Across Ages Museum offers insights into the region’s mountain history. During the evenings, Al Mouj Marina becomes a hub for waterfront dining and walking.

As per the CN Traveller report, Southern Oman offers a different experience during the khareef season. In Salalah, seasonal monsoon rains transform the dry terrain into green landscapes. Visitors can explore sites like Ayn Khor and the Ayn Athum waterfall. The ruins of Sumhuram, once a port in the frankincense trade, also attract tourists interested in history.

With fewer visitors, scenic locations, and cost-effective options for flights and accommodation, Oman offers Indian travellers a peaceful and budget-friendly getaway in July.
