Bolzano in northern Italy has been ranked the most picturesque winter travel destination for 2025, according to a study by influencer marketing platform Heepsy, as reported by Travel + Leisure. As per the report, the city’s high social media visibility, holiday events, and winter attractions as key factors that set it apart during the festive season.

The study examined global destinations based on their popularity, number of accommodation options, and winter-specific offerings. It also analysed online engagement, including hashtag mentions, Google search volume, average snowfall, and the number of Christmas markets and seasonal events listed on Eventbrite.

Bolzano topped Heepsy’s list with the highest number of Instagram hashtags, placing it ahead of Amsterdam and New York City. The ranking highlights how social media appeal and holiday programming continue to influence traveller choices during winter.
