SWISS will serve 88 destinations worldwide from Zurich and Geneva during the 2026/27 winter timetable, including 60 European and 24 intercontinental destinations from Zurich.
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will launch a new non-stop service between Bengaluru and Zurich from October 28, 2026, giving travellers from southern India a direct connection to Switzerland and access to destinations across Europe and North America.

The new service will operate five times a week and will connect Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru with Zurich Airport, SWISS' global hub. The airline currently operates services from India to Delhi and Mumbai, making Bengaluru its third Indian destination.

The new route is part of SWISS' 2026/27 winter schedule, which runs from October 25, 2026 to March 27, 2027. The airline has positioned the service as a direct link between southern India and its Zurich hub, with onward connections available through the Lufthansa Group network.

SWISS currently lists the route as operating an average of five flights per week, with a scheduled flight time of about 10 hours 35 minutes from Bengaluru to Zurich and around nine hours five minutes on the return journey. Flight schedules can change, and passengers are advised to check the latest timings before travelling.


Connections from Zurich

For Indian travellers, the new service is not limited to Switzerland. Zurich serves as SWISS' main hub, allowing passengers arriving from Bengaluru to connect onwards to destinations across Europe and North America through the wider Lufthansa Group network.

SWISS has specifically listed onward travel options from Bengaluru through Zurich to cities including Amsterdam, Geneva, Nice, Paris, London, Chicago, Boston and Toronto. This could provide another routing option for travellers from Karnataka and other parts of southern India heading to European or North American destinations.

SWISS noted that the Bengaluru service is aimed at both business and leisure travellers. The airline has also identified Bengaluru's role as a major technology and innovation centre, with international technology companies and European businesses operating in the region.
