The General Directorate of Passports said individuals can call 992 to seek clarification on their visa status. The helpline covers all types of visit visas, including Umrah, transit and final exit visas, particularly those that expired on or before February 25, 2026.

Relief window and exit options
The announcement follows earlier directives issued by the Ministry of Interior under the Saudi leadership to address the situation of foreign nationals stranded in the Kingdom. Authorities had introduced measures to regularise the status of affected visa holders across categories.Under these measures, expired visit visas are eligible for extension through the Absher platform after payment of prescribed fees. The extension window remains open until April 18, 2026. At the same time, visa holders who choose to leave the country can exit directly through international airports without extending their visas and without paying any penalties or late fines.

The authorities said the helpline aims to streamline communication and help visitors resolve queries as the compliance deadline approaches.
