Officials said the multilingual approach is designed to make procedures and religious requirements easier to understand for visitors from different countries.
Step-by-step format
The “Umrah and Visit Guide” follows a structured, step-by-step format that mirrors the pilgrim’s journey. It begins with pre-travel preparations, including visa and permit requirements, and continues through key rituals such as Ihram, Tawaf and Sa’i.In addition to religious instructions, the guide includes practical information to assist pilgrims during their stay. It provides digital links to interactive maps, instructional videos, and details about transport and movement within the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
Crowd management and travel support
The ministry said behavioural and organisational guidelines have been included to help manage crowd flow and maintain order, particularly during peak seasons. The guide also outlines departure procedures to support pilgrims as they complete their visit.Officials said the publication aims to reduce communication gaps and provide a smoother experience for international visitors. By offering information in multiple languages, the ministry seeks to ensure greater clarity and accessibility for pilgrims planning their journey.
