flyadeal's expansion plans
flyadeal began operations on September 23, 2017, with its inaugural flight from Jeddah to Riyadh. It operates as the sister airline of Saudi Arabia's full-service national carrier, Saudia, with both airlines under Saudia Group.
The airline currently operates a fleet of 47 Airbus A320 family aircraft from bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah and Dammam. Its network covers more than 40 seasonal and year-round destinations across Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and South Asia.
Since starting operations, flyadeal has carried more than 45 million passengers. In 2025, it transported more than 10 million passengers in a calendar year for the first time.
As part of its expansion plans under Saudi Vision 2030, the airline expects to more than double its network and fleet by 2030, targeting over 100 destinations and aircraft. Its future fleet additions include Airbus A321neo aircraft and A330-900neo widebody aircraft, with deliveries expected to begin from 2027.
